Who Made It?

It’s fascinating that the largest animal ever to have lived on earth, the blue whale, feeds on nothing but krill, shrimp-like creatures that are among the smallest sea-dwellers. But it takes 36 metric tons of krill a day to allay an adult blue whale’s hunger. That’s the weight of 25 cars!

Carlsbad Caverns, located in New Mexico, was created by sulfuric acid instead of water erosion, as is the case with most limestone caves. The caverns are home to as many as 300,000 Mexican free-tail bats that stream out of the caverns each night in search of food.

Rainbows are made up of seven colors. Interestingly enough, if you look for the end of a rainbow, you’ll never find it because rainbows are actually complete circles! What we perceive is usually viewed from the ground, so it appears as an upside down letter U!
