“The Great Red Spot” is a region in the atmosphere of Jupiter housing the largest storm in our solar system. The color of the storm was first depicted as red in a 1711 painting by Donato Creti called “Jupiter”.

There are plenty of curious roadside attractions scattering U.S. highways. Perhaps the strangest of places is the Corn Palace, which is made entirely out of corn. Strangely enough, the palace is not located in the U.S. corn capital Iowa, but in its north-western neighbor South Dakota, where the venue also hosts concerts, sporting events, and other exhibitions.

The world’s most expensive instrument is the Lady Blunt Stradivarius violin. It was sold for a record price of $15.9 million! The beautiful and costly violin was auctioned by the Nippon Music Foundation to help raise money for the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.
