‘The King of the Kalahair’ and ‘King of the Jungle’ were possible titles for ‘The Lion King’. It was also referred to as ‘Bamblet’ by one of the screenwriters when it was described to her as ‘Hamlet’ in Africa with a bit of ‘Bambi’ thrown in. Producers realized that they wanted to focus on a simple story about a lion king and so ‘The Lion King’ seemed most fitting.

The largest black bear weighed approximately 900 pounds. On average, a black bear lives for about 20 years in the wild.
