Venus is a blazingly hot planet. Temperatures on the beautiful planet reach an average temperature of 450 degrees Celsius! This is interesting because Venus is not the closest planet to the sun. That title goes to Mercury. However, Mercury has no atmosphere to regulate temperatures.

The Grand Canyon is incredibly massive and has so many sudden changes in elevation that it creates its own weather. Temperatures and precipitation vary drastically from one part of the canyon to another. The coldest weather station is on the North Rim at the Bright Angel River Station, while the hottest and driest is just 8 miles away at Phantom Ranch!
