Have you ever heard of an electron microscope? These microscopes use electrons instead of light to create a magnified image. Invented in 1931 by German physicist Ernst Ruska, the first electron microscope was the transmission electronic microscope.

eBay was founded by Pierre Omidyar during his free time in 1995. One of the first products sold was a broken laser pointer which went for a whopping $14.83. In just a few months, the site had so much traffic that he had to upgrade his internet connection!

‘Jeopardy!’ is king. The show has outlived over 400 other game shows in nearly four decades since its reprisal in 1984. There are about 230 new episodes produced in a single year, with 46 days of taping, and five tapings a day. This means that the show has over 7,000 episodes!
