Interesting Fact
A bear's senses are very important to its survival. They have great senses of smell, sight and hearing. A bear can smell food, cubs, a mate or danger from miles away. They also rely on other bears' sense of smell when they mark their territory with urine and droppings. Bears have terrific eyesight, too. It helps them to identify ripe fruit and nuts.
Interesting Fact
Not all dogs bark. Take the Basenji, for example. This dog doesn't really bark but instead emits a sort of yodel. Sometimes this yodel can even sound like a scream or a whine. Imagine coming home to your Basenji yodeling. Could be charming, or maddening, or even frightening!
Interesting Fact
Las Vegas is bright! It seems there are flashing, blinking, and glittering lights everywhere. And well, perhaps that’s because there are over 15,000 miles of neon tubing within the city. There is even a dedicated museum for these signs. The Neon Museum contains more than 150 signs and the stories behind them.
