Not all musicians use the classical notation system to read and play music. In fact, most country music recording sessions use what’s called the Nashville Number System. This system replaces the classical Do, Re, Mi, scale with numbers, which makes reading sheet music more accessible to those without extensive training in music theory.

The earliest microscopes were called flea glasses because they were predominantly used to observe small insects such as fleas! These microscopes were simple in construction, using different shapes and sizes of glass with low power (6x to 10x). They were invented by the Romans.

Believe or not, the first McDonald’s was a BBQ shack in San Bernardino, California. Brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald opened the first restaurant in 1940. Eight years after it opened, McDonald’s switched its focus to hamburgers, shakes, and pies. Ray Kroc purchased franchise rights from the brothers and the golden arches appeared across the country, and around the world!
