Poland is home to one of the world’s oldest salt mines. The 800-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine features chambers, sculptures, and an entire chapel made from rock salt, all 135 meters below the ground. The old mine was still producing salt up until 2007.

We all know how long it can sometimes take to finish a game of Monopoly. While some people quit half-way through selling their third hotel, others endure. The longest game of Monopoly that was recorded went for 70 days straight!

‘The Life of Pi’, a novel written by Canadian author Yann Martel, was rejected by more than five publication houses before it was finally accepted. In 2001, it was finally published and won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction. It also won the Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature in Best Adult Fiction. Over ten million copies of the novel have been sold worldwide.
