The smallest sample that can be clearly observed under a light microscope is a 500 nanometer long object. It is possible to observe smaller objects than this, but their features might be distorted. Anything smaller than 500 nanometers loses detail because of the wave nature of light.

Both male and female turkeys have that red dangly bit under their chins, also known as the waddle. They also have a red bit on top of their beaks called a snood.
