The Ford Mustang was unveiled at the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows, New York in 1964. On that very same day, the iconic car also debuted in showrooms across the country. By the end of that day, close to 22,000 Mustangs were purchased. Over 10 million Mustangs have since been produced in the U.S.

Dmitri Mendeleyev presented his periodic table of elements at the Russian Chemical society on March 6, 1869. His table was based on increasing atomic weight. It was not, however, the first attempt at organizing the elements. In 1864, Lothar Meyer published a table with the placement of 28 elements.
