Fridge magnets can be great at reminding you of important stuff, except when the fridge is too big, like the LHC (Large Hadron Collider). This particle accelerator is a staggering 27 kilometres (17 miles) long and features the largest fridge in the world.

Mount Rushmore went through several changes. In one version of the monument, words were to be etched into the rock face, words that would briefly describe the history of the United States, highlighting nine important events between 1776 and 1906. But due to funding, and issues over wording, this plan was ultimately scrapped!
