Markus Persson (known as Notch to fans) took only 6 days to create the very first version of Minecraft. Amazingly, the game was published the day after it was completed. However, it took Persson’s company, Mojang AB, another 2 years to release what they thought was the first full version of the game.

For approximately 200 years, microscope technology remained relatively unchanged. In the 1850s, however, Carl Zeiss, a German engineer, developed improvements for the device! Joseph Jackson Lister also helped eliminate the unequal bending of light hitting the microscope lens, leading to further improvements!

In some regions of Japan, traffic lights are red, yellow and blue instead of green. This is due to the Japanese language where for centuries, the same word, “ao”, was used to describe blue and green. A word for green has evolved later, but Japanese traffic law still uses the archaic term.
