The Caspian Sea is the world’s largest enclosed inland body of water. Its total surface area is a staggering 371,000 square kilometers. It contains 78,200 cubic km of water and is also the 3rd deepest lake in the world, reaching depths of 1,025 m below surface! Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Russia, and Azerbaijan surround the basin of the lake.

Parts of Louisiana's vibrant and brash city, New Orleans, sit below sea level, so many houses don’t have true basements. Even graves are above ground in beautiful stone structures! The cemeteries are actually very popular tourist attractions, with a lot of the cemeteries offering tours.
