When certain kinds of fish disappear, scientists look to geologists to explain why. The geologist will look to activity in the ocean to find the reason. Geologists use much of the same tools as archaeologists to collect samples in their field of study.

The Grand Canyon is incredibly massive and has so many sudden changes in elevation that it creates its own weather. Temperatures and precipitation vary drastically from one part of the canyon to another. The coldest weather station is on the North Rim at the Bright Angel River Station, while the hottest and driest is just 8 miles away at Phantom Ranch!

Contrary to rumors, Alex Trebek, host of ‘Jeopardy!’, is not a diva when the cameras aren’t rolling. He claims to own over 100 suits, however. In one day, a week’s worth of episodes is filmed. Trebek often has to change suits to create the illusion that another day has passed.
