Jenga may sound like a made up word, but it's not! It actually comes from the Swahili word 'kujenga' which means 'to build'! The name was chosen because the game has its origins in Africa and because the whole point of the game is to continue building an ever more precarious tower from wooden blocks.

Peach baskets were used for the first basketball nets. When fans watching from the balcony started reaching out and interfering with players’ shots, backboards made of chicken wire were created. Suddenly, rebounds became a big part of the game. And more importantly, fans stopped interfering!

BBC Radio’s 5Live devoted a segment to helping parents who feared their children were becoming addicted to Fortnite, either by incessantly playing it or watching others stream their fights online. The game has been mentioned in various broadcasts around the world, though they’ve mostly focused on the title’s rampant success.
