President Teddy Roosevelt threatened to ban the beloved game unless rules were established to ensure better player safety. New rules, cutting the time of the game by ten minutes, were created, and the forward pass (which has become an indispensable and exciting component) was introduced, dramatically lowering injuries.

Many experts agree that the oldest tree in the world is Methuselah, a bristlecone pine tree that is over 4,700 years old! Methuselah is in California’s White Mountain range. Not too far away in Nevada, another bristlecone pine was cut down in 1964 and age-dated to be 4,900 years old!

In a famous study it was proven that children who are able to delay gratification 15 times as long as their more impatient peers score 210 points higher on their SAT's.
