Arctic foxes are pretty incredible animals – they live in the most northerly place in the world and have an astonishing ability to handle cold temperatures. Thanks to their fluffy white fur they won’t start shivering until the temperature goes down to -70 degrees Celsius.

The microwave was invented by accident when Percy Spencer was working on a radar-related project. Testing a vacuum tube, he discovered that a candy bar in his pocket melted quickly. Experimenting with more foods, he soon developed the first microwave.
