Did you know that “Sesame Street” was originally intended to be called “123 Avenue B”? The title was changed when the producers found that this was a real address in NYC. Still, quite a few things have changed over the years. Oscar the Grouch had orange fur in the show’s first season. Can you imagine?

The Yangtze River is the third-largest river in the world. It has over 4,300 aquatic organisms, including more than 400 species of fish. Overfishing had begun to threaten this biodiversity, leading to a fishing ban put in place by the state in 2021.

There are approximately 6,900 distinct languages in existence today, though there may be languages spoken in remote areas that we have yet to discover. No matter how many new languages we find, though, this number will be much lower in 100 years.
