Rembrandt van Rijn was a notorious curmudgeon, much to the annoyance of his students. One day, they decided to play a prank on their teacher: they painted coins on the studio floor – which the maestro actually tried to pick up!

Singer, songwriter and actress Jada Pinkett-Smith told a newspaper that she originally auditioned for the role of Trinity in the Matrix but had no chemistry with Reeves, so the filmmakers decided to give the role to Carrie-Anne Moss instead.

Although lightning bolts appear huge, they are actually just two to three centimetres wide at an average length of three kilometres. But mighty they are: at 30,000 °C, the heat generated by lighting is five times hotter than the surface of the sun!
