Animal Eyes

When certain kinds of fish disappear, scientists look to geologists to explain why. The geologist will look to activity in the ocean to find the reason. Geologists use much of the same tools as archaeologists to collect samples in their field of study.

Theodore Roosevelt allowed his children (all six of them) to bring their pets to the White House in 1901. They brought along several dogs, a small bear, a lizard, guinea pigs, a pig, a badger, a blue macaw, a garter snake, a one-legged rooster, a hyena, a barn owl, a rabbit, a pony, and a hen!

Unborn babies are able to hear music that is played outside the womb. It has even been shown that a fetus’s heart-rate can be affected by music. Premature babies who listened to lullabies exhibited slower heart rates and higher caloric intake, demonstrating that their moods were most likely enhanced.
