What’s the first and only band to play on all seven continents? If you guessed Metallica, you’re right! The heavy metal band set this record after they performed at Argentina’s Carlini Station in Antarctica. They played before an audience of 120 scientists inside a small dome.

Robert Hooke unknowingly discovered plant cells. In 1665, he used a compound microscope to examine a wide variety of objects. On observing the surface of a cork, he noted down 'pores', which were in fact plant cells!
