Scrambling letters is just one form of cryptography, the history of which dates back to 1900 BCE. The first evidence of its use was found in the tomb of an ancient Egyptian nobleman. Julius Caesar also used cryptography to send secret messages to his army.

The set of playing cards as we know it today was invented by the French in 1480. The images of peasants, women and men date all the way back to the 15th century. The joker, however, was invented in America.

In a 2014 study, researchers found that listening to a certain genre of music can affect the decision-making process. People who listened to ‘chill-inducing’ music were more generous than a group of people who listened to music they disliked or people who didn’t listen to any music at all.
