In some regions of Japan, traffic lights are red, yellow and blue instead of green. This is due to the Japanese language where for centuries, the same word, “ao”, was used to describe blue and green. A word for green has evolved later, but Japanese traffic law still uses the archaic term.

Chris Haney and Scoot Abbott invented Trivial Pursuit in 1979 while playing Scrabble. The two Canadian newspaper editors wanted to come up with their own game and soon, Trivial Pursuit was born! The two men needed 75,000 dollars to create a prototype of the game, and luckily, they ended up getting 34 people to invest!

Three dogs survived the sinking of the Titanic. All three dogs were in first class and included two Pomeranians and a Pekingese. According to some sources, the owner of one of the Pomeranians wrapped it up in a blanket to disguise it as a baby! Quick thinking!
