Autumn, especially in poetry, has often been associated with sadness. The possibilities of summer are gone, and the doom of winter is on the horizon. Skies turn grey, the amount of daylight drops rapidly. Many people use it as a time of rest and reflection, just like animals use the colder seasons to hibernate.

Parents often claim that the music of their youth is better than music nowadays – and they aren’t entirely wrong. Studies have shown that there has been a gradual decrease in notes, chords, keys, vocabulary and moods throughout the decades. It seems that music nowadays is more generic than ever!

While countries like Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and others all developed their own types of suits and decks, it was a French version with its diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs that spread worldwide.
