German actor Gert Fröbe was cast as the titular villain in “Goldfinger” before the producers realised that Fröbe didn’t speak English. His lines were dubbed by actor Michael Collins – the congenial work left nothing to desire! Fröbe also had the honour of presenting the first laser beam in cinematic history.

Ice cream was first brought over to America in the 1700s – it was immensely difficult to store since refrigerators hadn’t been invented yet. The dessert was left the preserve of the upper classes who considered it an exotic addition to their tables.
