Not all felines have slit pupils! House cats do, but Siberian tigers have circular pupils. The Eurasian lynx, whose size is between the two, has a mix of the two pupil shapes. Canines are similar in that foxes have slit pupils while the gray wolf has circular ones.

Japanese schools are famous for providing children with daily lunch – known as ‘kyushokku’. Education authorities ensure all children are fed a varied and healthy diet on a daily basis. Popular dishes include natto (fermented soy-beans, an acquired taste), miso soup, Japanese curry and on special occasions – whale meat!

The last time Olympic Gold Medals were made mostly of gold was for the 1912 Olympics. Today’s Gold Medals are made mostly of silver. An Olympic medal made of pure gold would be pretty expensive, coming in around 28,000 thousand dollars!
