Hundreds of years ago, Robert Hooke published a book called Micrographia that included hand-drawn images of samples observed under a microscope! Hooke, who we mentioned in a previous fact, is often credited as the discoverer of cells, after studying cork under the microscope.

In 2014, researchers came up with a game featuring the biggest pop hits from the 1940's. They concluded that ‘Wannabe’ by the Spice Girls was the catchiest song of all time. It took people an average of 2.3 seconds to identify the song! Other catchy songs included ‘Mambo Number Five’ by Lou Bega and Survivor’s ‘Eye of the Tiger’.

Turkeys have great eyes. Their vision is sharp, and their peripheral vision is downright enviable. Humans can see about 180 degrees, but turkeys, with eyes planted on the side of their heads, can see 270 degrees. Wait, there’s more – turkeys also have superior color vision. They can even see ultraviolet light! Wowsers!
