In Western cultures, personifications of autumn are usually pretty, voluptuous females adorned with fruits, vegetables and grains that are common for the season. Artists and poets have always celebrated the autumnal months, as it is a time of reflection, change and wander.

In 2014, researchers came up with a game featuring the biggest pop hits from the 1940's. They concluded that ‘Wannabe’ by the Spice Girls was the catchiest song of all time. It took people an average of 2.3 seconds to identify the song! Other catchy songs included ‘Mambo Number Five’ by Lou Bega and Survivor’s ‘Eye of the Tiger’.

Spanish friars helped spread chocolate to various monasteries in Europe. If it wasn’t for these guys, chocolate may not have spread as far and wide as it has today. Imagine what kind of world that would be? A sad one indeed!
