There’s a persistent belief that the works of Shakespeare were actually written by someone else – the Earl of Oxford, Francis Bacon and Christopher Marlowe being the top candidates. This questioning of authorship is mostly due to the bias of 19th century scholars who couldn’t accept that such brilliant literature was written by a mere commoner.

Though it’s never happened before, the most amount of money a player can win in a single game is $566,400. In order to do this, the player would have to sweep both boards, find all three Daily Doubles and make them all true Daily Doubles. That’s not all. The player would then have to wager everything in the Final Jeopardy!
