Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella are the distinctive voices of Timon and Pumbaa. The two ran into each other in the lobby of the studio and asked to audition together for the role of hyenas. They were hilarious, but the casting director felt their humor was better suited for Timon and Pumbaa.

Hundreds of years ago, Robert Hooke published a book called Micrographia that included hand-drawn images of samples observed under a microscope! Hooke, who we mentioned in a previous fact, is often credited as the discoverer of cells, after studying cork under the microscope.
