Poland is home to one of the world’s oldest salt mines. The 800-year-old Wieliczka Salt Mine features chambers, sculptures, and an entire chapel made from rock salt, all 135 meters below the ground. The old mine was still producing salt up until 2007.

Red-eyed tree frogs use the unique coloring of their eyes to scare off predators. When sleeping, they blend in with the environment with their green color, but if spotted by a predator, the frog will open its eyes and the bright red color startles predators.
