Venus is a blazingly hot planet. Temperatures on the beautiful planet reach an average temperature of 450 degrees Celsius! This is interesting because Venus is not the closest planet to the sun. That title goes to Mercury. However, Mercury has no atmosphere to regulate temperatures.

In ancient Greek folklore, the creation of the Milky Way came about when Hera released droplets of milk from her suckling bosom! It wasn’t her fault though, sneaky Zeus brought the infant Heracles to Hera to breastfeed when she was asleep and she woke up shocked, pulling the baby off her and thus creating the milky way. Think about that next time you’re stargazing.
