The recognizable ‘Jeopardy!’ theme song was created by Merv Griffin, who claims the song only took 30 seconds to write. The song was originally written as a lullaby to help Griffin's son fall asleep, hence the gentle lilt to the melody. Since airing on TV, the song has become an ear-worm.

Fall colors are caused by the amount of sugar in leaves. The more red in the leaf, the more sugar the leaf is storing. This is why Maple trees are so amazing, whereas Evergreens don’t change colors because their leaves have a thick wax covering that protects the chlorophyll in the leaves themselves.

Scientists believe that humans evolved to have blonde hair to more efficiently synthesize vitamin D! This mutation probably occurred because of the fewer hours of sunlight in Northern Europe. It is estimated that this took place during the last ice age, approximately 11,000 years ago!
