The word ‘piggy bank’ comes from a type of clay in Old English called ‘pygg’, referring to a specific kind of clay used. They didn’t grow into their current piggy form until later.

Uno was invented in 1971 by Merle Robbins, a barber from Ohio. Robbins had an argument with his son about the rules of the card game, Crazy Eighs, and decided to make his own game afterwards! When he finally showed his family what he's invented, they loved it and printed the game as a pack of cards!
