Once tomato ketchup was invented, a physician named John Cooke Bennet had the brilliant idea to press the sauce into pills and sell them as a cure for diarrhea, indigestion and rheumatism. The ketchup medicine craze didn’t last long.

Coca-Cola's label comes from the handwriting of its inventor's bookkeeper. John S. Pemberton noticed his bookkeeper's fancy script in 1886 and asked him to write the name of the soft drink, which is still used today.
