Arthur Weasley is another character who thankfully survived the cull. Rowling was clear that not every character could make it through the story alive and Arthur Weasley was actually intended to die following the attack from Nagini in “Order of the Phoenix.” She decided to keep him in the story however, as he represented a strong father figure that may otherwise have been absent from the books.
