The iconic statue was a gift to the United States from France, and lady liberty’s head had previously been on display at the Paris World Fair. At 204 metric tonnes, we think she is an impractically massive gift.

Did you know that production of the original Predator film was halted in the middle in order to redesign the Predator creature? Luckily, this additional time enabled the filmmakers to cut roughly an hour of the film together to present to the heads of the studio. They liked the footage so much that they agreed to give the film more money! This allowed for even bigger action sequences, particularly in the final third of Predator.
