Did you know Ricky Gervais was once an aspiring pop star? In the 1980s he fronted a band called ‘Seona Dancing’, complete with the obligatory amount of synth and outrageous fashion sense. Ricky was greatly inspired by David Bowie, with whom he collaborated with years later in his sitcom Extras, where they co-wrote a song together. Dreams can come true!

In the 90s, there was a push to create a Spider-Man film with James Cameron, director of ‘Avatar’ and ‘The Terminator’, writing the screenplay. Arnold Schwarzenegger was apparently attached as Dr. Octopus (you’ll never be able to wipe that image from your brain). It was to be quite the R-rated experience, too! It was riddled with cussing and violence apparently.
